How to Pay for a Nonimmigrant Visa
Nonimmigrant Visa Applicants must submit two fees:
 An Application Fee:
All nonimmigrant visa applicants must submit this fee, along with their Application Forms.
An Issuance Fee:
The following nonimmigrant visa applicants are not required to pay this fee:
Transit (C1), Crew members (C1/D), Students (F & M), Exchange Visitors (J) and their dependants (F2, J2 and M2).
All other nonimmigrant visa applicants must submit both the Application and the Issuance Fee along with their Application Forms.
The Fees are:
Application Fee: Rs.4,600.00
Issuance fees: Rs.2,300/- (for B,H,I,L,N,O,P,Q,R,S and T visa categories).
The Consulate does not accept cash, credit cards or personal checks. All bank drafts must be drawn in favor of "American Consulate General, Calcutta" and must be payable in Calcutta. We will not accept Bank Demand Drafts payable at any other Indian city. Please ensure that your Bank Demand Drafts include the MICR code number imprinted at the bottom. Do not forget to write your full name and date of birth on the reverse of each bank draft.
